A quarry is a place from which dimension stone, rock, construction aggregate, riprap, sand, gravel, or slate has been excavated from the ground. A quarry is the same thing as an open-pit mine from which minerals are extracted. The only trivial difference between the two is that open-pit mines that produce building materials and dimension stone are commonly referred to as quarries. This kind of dimension stone is also called by crushed stone.
Crushed stone is a form of construction aggregate, typically produced by mining a suitable rock deposit and breaking the removed rock down to the desired size using crushers. It is distinct from gravel which is produced by natural processes of weathering and erosion, and typically has a more rounded shape.
Our grinding balls are used to crushing stone in crushers on quarries. In general, quarries mainly use balls with diameter 90mm, 100mm, 110mm, 120mm, 125mm and 130mm.
